SuperBladePro Sets & 3d Materials by Athyrius

SuperBladePro. This handy little
plug-in is the first I encountered. This was back in 1998
and I was completely entranced. You may think that using
plug-ins such as SuperBladePro makes a designer lazy. On
the contrary, I used it as a learning tool- to help me
'see' the 3d texturing elements in playing with
lights, reflectivity and shadowing.
From there I went on to work in true 3d using several
programs: Amapi, Carrara, Bryce
(thanks Kai!) and 3dsMax. I love playing with mapping
textures- and making my own.
Here on this page I have offered a SuperBladePro Set as well as a set of
Materials that you can use with any 3d program. You can
also use the Materials with your SuperBladePro as an environment or
bumpmap.
The 3d Materials set includes grayscale bumpmaps along
with the full color pattern for use in your favorite 3d
software.

These are zipped in full 6 and 8 piece sets. You can't
eat just one.. Right click on the main image and save the
set to your hard drive.
Unzip the Superbladepro Set (.q5q files) into the Pre-Sets
folder. Then drag the
included images into your
'Environments' folder. If you have any questions
about set-up or use-
just Email us.
Unzip the Materials Set into any folder containing
commonly used image textures in the 3d program you normally
use. You will see that each colored image has a
corresponding grayscale image- unless it is already
grayscale. If you have any questions about texture and
bumpmap applications,
feel free to send them to
us.
If you make anything extremely cool with any of these-
send it to me and I
will be glad to post it right here with a credit and a
linkback to your site.
