Photoshop Patterns by Athyrius Designs
It looks like after a long intermission the background
pattern is back in style. But the 2005 background tile is
different in size and impact than those popular in the late
1990's - thank goodness. Perhaps what designers are
getting ready for, even subconsiously to a certain extent,
is the advent of Televised Internet.
Televised internet is the wave of the (very near) future,
and site design is going to have to take a turn for the
bigger, bolder and more colorful not to get lost in the
morass. All those corporate sites that currently look about
as appealing as a power point presentation are going to
have to change their look- or get lost in the shuffle. At
the very least, a little subtle texturing can make a huge
difference even in the simplest designs.

If you like the pattern, but need a different color it is
very easy to make changes using various color tools in
Photoshop. If you need help with any techniques,
just email me.
These three collections are in .pat format for Photoshop.
Just right click on each of the three different sets, Rich,
Mixed and Scanlines and 'Save target as' to
download the .pat file. Download the .pat file right into
your Photoshop-Presets-Patterns folder for immediate
use.
To load a pattern set, go to the Patterns palette, then
click the small arrow in the top right corner and choose
one of the pattern collections from the menu, or choose
Load Patterns if the set is not listed in the menu. You can
also load patterns via the Preset Manager in Photoshop 6.0.
